  301 redirect vs. DNS changeWebProWorld Discussion Forum - Full Feed

  I have a client who purchased a new domain and wants visitors from her old site redirected to her new site.
  
  I have scoured this forum and was very comfortable in the "knowledge" that a 301 redirect was the answer.
  
  Her old web pro is a) dragging his feet doing anything and b) is advising her against a 301 redirect and instead wants to change the name servers.
  
  I haven't read the merits of changing the DNS to redirect vs. doing a 301 redirect. I would appreciate your thoughts on the matter.
