But there is a possibility of taking your desktop with you, if not to the afterlife, then at least to a Jakarta internet cafe. Armed with only a USB stick, portable apps allow you to gain access to your favorite applications, browser bookmarks, documents and even your e-mail no matter what computer you sit down in front of.
